Farmer Chef Connection 2010
Feb 16th, 2010 by michele
This will be the 10th successive year that Portland Chefs Collaborative has hosted the Farmer-Chef Connection. Its success is a tribute to the great work of many volunteers over the years, all the great bounty of our region, and the drive and passion that local food buyers and food growers have to make our local food system successful! Register here.
Date: March 8th, 8:00-3:15pm at Clackmas Community College in Oregon City.
Not just for Farmers & Chefs…who is invited?
Any person or company who serves the Portland area as a farmer, fisher, rancher, dairyman, grower, or food processor. Any person or company who is looking to source any food or drink item locally, who buys or wants to buy directly from the sources. Students who want to learn. Experienced growers or buyers who want to share their sourcing wisdom.
What does it cost?
$20 for the day, and if you register someone else from your family or company at the same time, $10 for each additional person.
How can I help?
Please help to pass the word about this event, especially to businesses just starting to source locally. Download a flyer here to hang up or email. Please donate some of your product for the lunch or for the end-of-the-day raffle, or donate your time to turn someone’s product into a delicious lunch item! To donate any of the above, please email us.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any event like this one, thanks to everyone who has spent time making this event run smoothly, both behind the scenes and as part of a workshop or panel.

Thanks all for a wonderful day — informative, inspiring and delicious. A highlight of mine was around the lunch table…David pulling his last jar of pickled watermelon rinds out from his car for everyone to taste and the chicken liver pate that also appeared (i’m sorry i’ve forgetten your names –dancing chicken farm perhaps?) as an extra special treat. We had a great time.
